1. a sheet of paper
2. a drawing tool of your choice
3. device that can record audio
(the same device that this is viewed on)
4. another human
You and your partner should take turns drawing shapes in a horizontal line. Refer to the following criteria when drawing.
1. Draw ONLY the shapes pictured above
(in any order that you want).
2. Draw 4 lines in total (alternating lines; 2 lines per person)
3. Each line should be made up of 10 shapes.
Once you have finished drawing the lines, convert each of your drawn shapes to musical notes. Refer to the code below to see the corresponding note for each shape and write out the notes in accordance with your lines.
Once you've converted all the shapes to music notes and written them out, hit the record button below and press the buttons for each note in the order that you drew/wrote them. Push the record button again to stop the recording. Play it back to make sure you're satisfied with the recording (try this however many times you'd like!).
After recording your tune, download the audio file by clicking the download button, give it your preferred title, and email it to ananyas.5852@gmail.com.
Check out this collective playlist of other participants' tunes (as well as yours after processing)!
